Beer Lift - The Hidden Beer Cooler
Let's set the scene. It's a warm summers day, the BBQ is sizzling away, you've gathered your friends and family round and everyone is having a great time in the garden. But people are starting to get a little parched, and you ask yourself; what could be the best way offering people a cold refreshing drink?" How about perfectly chilled beer effortlessly rising from the ground where you stand? Introducing the Underground Beer Fridge - it's as awesome as it sounds!
Constructed in Germany, the underground Beer Lift is a tough, sealed tube incorporating a clever hydraulic lift mechanism so that you can effortlessly raise your stash of beer bottles up and out of the ground. Simply remove the top lid (which blends nicely into the ground if you wish to keep your supplies top secret), turn the handle 45 degrees and watch your cool beer rise up. When not in use, the three trays of beer are pushed back into the ground and totally disappear. Finally, replace the waterproof lid and friends and family need never be any wiser as to what is beneath their feet.
Recommended temperature for drinking lager is 6 to 9 degrees and ale is 7 to 11 degrees. Depending on the time of year, of course, beneath the soil, the temperature varies around the 8 to 10-degree mark. For the ultimate experience, during the warmer summer months, we recommend storing your beer in the fridge and transferring bottles to your beer cooler just before the drinking commences.
Installation is easy, using an auger drill a hole 90cm deep and 20cm in diameter. You can use a hand one if your soil is sandy or hire a petrol one to make the job easy, a tool hire centre charges around £12 for a manual one or £35 for a petrol one. Then simply insert the tube and you're away.
